We’re more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.
With a commitment to nurturing youth development, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.
29 October 2012
Attendees enjoyed musical chairs, dancing, free sandwiches from Jimmy John’s, pumpkin carving and games like Ring the Squash. Lindsey Cloutier attended with her young niece and nephew. “This is absolutely wonderful. Thanks for doing this for the community!” Nikki Wyatt posted on the Y’s Facebook page “Thanks so much for the great time! I asked my daughter what she liked best and first it was pumpkin carving, then hay ride, then the crafts then….well I guess they were all her favorite parts since she could not make her mind up!”
Forty Five volunteers, including many high school students, volunteered as part of the National Make A Difference Day effort sponsored locally by the Volunteer Center of Southwest Michigan. Their more than 135 hours of staffing made this event possible.
